Summarize (Rimouski XVIII)

When we got back to work, it was Tuesday, we'd missed one day of work and the big Monday morning meeting, which is the worst thing invented. 2-3 hours minimum of hearing what everyone else does, not that it concerns us at all. Kit and I found out at noon that day that the big baseball game against the museum was on that evening.

Tuesday, July 4

Kit supporting the team.

My office at this point had one male and he didn't make it to the game. One Catherine came and brought her husband, Etienne to play in her place (she was 7 months pregnant at the time) and Isabelle brought her husband, Carl, to play. The museum team seemed like a lean, fighting machine. Still we didn't have enough players to make a full team really, so we had to borrow one from the museum...uhh James? What the hell was his name?

We were on field first... I played some random invented position. That's me behind Sebastian, who played first.

Poor Audrey, struck out. Good start to the game.

Etienne was at bat second, Carl set up the batting sequence, Anna -that's me - was near the end. He hit the ball.

Way to go!

Then France got up to first, too.

Let's go! Let's go! Coup de ciruit! err home run!

And the crowd goes wild!

We weren't up to bat for very long.

Oh yeah, the people from the office organized snacks and beer.

So then a long time later, we finally got up to bat again. I got to bat that time, but got out before I hit first.

I'm a giant in these parts. PS I gave Kit my camera with the order to photograph.

She kept her distance.

Cheerleaders! Isabelle and Catherine P.

Oh the red shirts - for some reason the office had all these Carrousel shirts and so we had team shirts. It was kind of lame but neat at the same time.

Kollene up at bat - she worked at the museum, remember?

She got to first.

So then they struck out and we were back up. And it was my turn up at bat and I made it to first.

The team in astonishment. Sebastian and Audrey's heads.

Then Carl was up, which led to:

Home! Ome run Anna!

Random France and the other guy from the museum...who was really ugly without his hat on.

We lost the game like 25-4 or something outrageous like that, but it was still fun. It started raining and thunder/lightening in the distance. I was glad to get home and go directly to bed.

Saturday, July 8

We went out to dinner at the Morocan restaurant. So good, best tea of the summer.

The other cantine...like less than three blocks from the better one.

It was great weather, so we decided to:

Rent C.R.A.Z.Y. and watch it in the park.

It ended up being really windy and we couldn't hear/feared for Alix's laptop blowing away, so we took it back to her place and watched the rest. Wicked idea to watch a move in the park though.
