No Good Title (Rimouski IV)

May 22-May 27

May 22 should go with last post since it was part of the long weekend, but yeah...I didn't include it. This post took me a few days, look how long it is! and a lot of grade 8 html skills, so don't expect anything for a while. It was a busy weekend and this weekend will be too. There will be photos, naturally.

In this post:
-dinner at Kit's
-other junk
-trip to Métis , which is in Gaspésie, the region next to Bas-St. Laurent (Lower St. Lawerence)
-wandering around after work
-happy-hour.

For May 2-4, Kit invited us to her place for dinner. We didn't know what to bring, so we made brownies.

Hana gets creative.

We walked down my street to Kit's place. That's Rue Notre Dame.

Most amazing looking salad. Wow Kit. Dinner was good, pasta with (fake) meat and onions. Lots and lots of green tea, something I'd been deprived of.
Btw: Happy Birthday Nelson here.

Walking to work some day that week...

On Tuesday, we went to Alix's for potluck dinner.

This is the view from Alix's kitchen. She's the only non-troll who lives above ground.

Super nice place.

Right?

Thursday:
Kathleen comes up to us and proposes we come with her to go pick up her daughter in nearby
Métis Beach (aka Métis-sur-plage) which is in the Gaspesie Region vs. the lower St. Lawerence where I am now...she says it's nice and we can walk around town. Wait, so you mean get out of work early to go for a drive? Uhh...ok, I guess I can pretend to do work tomorrow morning instead.

Turns out she had a meeting at the school and she just took us there and left us at the school. Métis has a population of 300..so umm there is no town and we just walked around, here is what we saw.

That's the beach. Still the St. Lawerence and saltwater.

Lighthouse.

Trees.

Road.

Same road.

Name the beach.

Barred beach.

Congradulations, you have now visited Métis-sur-plage.

On the way back we stopped somewhere.

Inn/restaurant...

It had this jazz all over the place:

These people statue things.

They trail into the water. That's Megan, Kathleen's crazy child.

Into the water they go...

Even concrete dogs sniff concrete ass.

Same beach.

Then after work, I met up with Kollene and Alix. We wandered around town.

This is that big park that we always wondered about, the water there is the Rimouski River, it's fresh water, I think.

Friday we all (minus France, which no one seemed to notice until later) posed for a group shot for the programme.

This is me being mega annoyed that we spent 20 minutes being blinded by flashes.
So, top row, L-R, Isabelle, Me, Paule (my super amazing boss), Julie, middle row: Kathleen (head honcho), Audrey, Kit (fellow TO), Catherine B, Catherine P.

Then after work it was ...HAPPY HOUR errr 5 a 7 at Isabelle's house. That was wicked, got to talk to Paule a lot.

I was going to post more photos but they are all of either food or Catherine B's kid.
